Raymondville Bearkat Band Excels at Odem Marching Invitational
The Raymondville Bearkat Band put on a stellar performance at the Odem Owl Marching Invitational, bringing home top honors and representing Willacy County with pride. Sharing the spotlight was Lyford High School, who also competed and placed 3rd in the 3A division. However, the day belonged to Raymondville, as the Bearkat Band earned multiple awards and continued to establish themselves as a powerhouse in the region.

Additionally, the Bearkat Band ranked 1st overall in Music and 2nd overall in Visual, finishing just 2 points behind the 4A Champion, Calallen.

Raymondville’s impressive performance reflects the dedication of its students and staff, who have worked tirelessly to prepare for this season. The Bearkat Band's success is a point of pride not only for the school but for all of Willacy County.
“Our students have worked so hard, and it’s great to see that effort recognized,” said the Raymondville Band Director, Ben Keltner. “We’re proud to bring these awards home and continue to represent our community with excellence.”
