Raymondville ISD hosted the Inaugural

On Saturday, October 1st, Raymondville ISD hosted the Inaugural "Gateway Marching Invitational" specifically designed to promote small school marching bands in our region.  

Six Bands total, from Monte Alto, Santa Rosa, La Villa, Lyford, Progreso and Raymondville performed in front of a live audience and 3 Active UIL Judges who offered their commentary directly to the students in a non-competitive format.  The students also had an opportunity to revisit moments of their performance and rehearse with the judges suggestions.

The Raymondville Bearkat Band earned a Division 1 rating.  Judge Roger Olivarez said “Great show concept! Lots of energy throughout – enjoyed it.”
